Around 30% of clothes have not been worn for at least a year, most often because they no longer fit, with four in five adults owning items which they no longer wear due to fit or need for alteration.

Extending the life of clothing by an extra nine months of active use would reduce carbon, waste and water footprints for clothing by around 20-30%
