Woodside Community Garden
Woodside Community Garden is a new project in partnership with Queens Cross Housing Association.
The garden is located on Cedar St, nestled in between 2 high flats on a former basketball court. The garden was developed in 2014, with 24 raised beds builtĀ for local people to use, and communal areas with fruit trees and bushes.
Our new project provides support to the growers in the form of a Community Gardener – Abi Mordin. New drop-in sessions for growers have been set up, where local people can share and learn gardening skills together.
Workshops and events are in the pipeline for anyone living nearby to join in with.
An after school Kids Outdoors Club has also been established, with a fun and inspiring programme for local kids aged 5-12.
If you live nearby and would like to join in with our Social Gardening Drop-In Sessions, you can pop down on:
- Tuesdays 12.30pm – 2.30pm
- Thursdays 11am – 1pm
- Wednesdays 3.30pm – 5pm for Kids Outdoors Club
For any further information, please contact Abi via email on abi@concretegarden.org.uk or drop into the Cedar Hub at 65 Cedar St for a chat.
